coach,  v.,  1. to give instruction or advice to someone for the purpose of improving performance    2. to study or be instructed by a coach.

For an organization to coach its staff to initiate and develop innovation
(and for its staff to be coached) requires that both parties recognize the goal to be reached and their strengths and challenges in attaining the goal.

Coaching for Innovation requires the coaching feedback be specific, content-based and positive.  Confirming results after coaching by Documenting and Rewarding innovation is a critical part of maintaining the practice of Innovation in the organization.
